Salty cheese pretzels

Ingredients:

  • 600g wheat flour
  • 200g grated hard cheese
  • 300g margarine
  • 1/2 tbsp soda
  • 300ml milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg to spread on pretzels
  • caraway-seeds

Warm the margarine to room temperature.

Mix the grated cheese with flour, salt and soda, add margarine. Knead thoroughly. Add milk and knead more. Put the dough in the fridge for 2 hours. Afterwards make little pretzels. Put them on a plate, cover with whisked egg and sprinkle caraway-seeds. Preheat the oven to 180C and bake until the pretzels are golden.
