Sorrel soup

200 g potatoes
100 g pearl barley
75 g smoked meat
4 tablespoons chopped sorrel
1 carrot
1 onion
1 stock cube
1 boiled egg
Pinch of salt
Dash of ground black pepper
Dill

Grate the carrot. Chop the onion. Fry the onion and carrot until golden brown. Boil the barley and chopped smoked meat together for 10 minutes. Add diced potatoes, fried carrots and onion, stock cube, salt and pepper. Boil until the potatoes are soft.
Serve with half a boiled egg and chopped dill.
