In the autumn lottery, organised by the local network of top! stores, the main prize was drawn - a new Volkswagen Taigo car. The winner is Santa Seile from Riga, whose purchase receipt registered in the draw, brought an impressive win. The successful purchase was made in the Gulbene top! shop at 6 Nākotnes Street. 60 gift cards worth 50 EUR and three cash prizes of 500 EUR were also drawn. The winner of the car, Santa, reveals that she went shopping in Gulbene while visiting her mother-in-law and registered only one receipt for the lottery. “It can't be real!” She remembers the surprising phone call from the store manager in Riga. “Usually I don't participate in lotteries because I don't believe I can win, but this time I participated out of respect for my mother-in-law, who always wanted to win something,” the winner says. The mother-in-law, who is already 81, has often shared her purchase receipts, but Santa used to throw them away. However, this time, while enjoying her afternoon coffee, she filled in the lottery questionnaire. Santa emphasises that without her mother-in-law's encouragement, she would not have been able to win, so the car will now be shared, in order to take her elderly relative wherever she needs to go.

The lucky winner is very happy about the car, since she moves a lot every day, so the new vehicle will be very useful. The initial emotions were a huge surprise. Santa repeatedly asked if it wasn't a joke. “The first outing with the new car will definitely be on the Riga-Gulbene route,” Santa assured. As far as the purchase itself, it turned out that this time the lucky shopping basket contained the delicious top! muffins, chicken hams, bread and other products.

There were even more participants in the lottery this year than last year, about 95 thousand registered receipts. The most active buyers were in Smiltene, Riga, Valmiera, Cēsis and Limbaži. As every year, the most active were women. In general, the most active lottery participants were in the age group from 30 to 54.
