The store chain “top!” implements new communication strategy to support local producers and businesspeople

Along with the national holidays coming up, the store chain “top!” has implemented a new communication strategy to support the local producers and businesspeople, as well as invites its customers to spend November celebrating the national holidays. From now on, the communication will include the concept of the “local”, drawing the attention to the support to locals.

“We are proud and delighted that “top!” is the largest store chain in Latvia owned by the Latvian businesspeople, we support local producers and we are the largest regional store chain in Latvia and we employ the local people at our stores. We have to support the local producers and businesspeople, especially in the regions, therefore, from now on, in our communication we will highlight and remind our customers of the “Local top!”. The local people will become the ambassadors of this communication in Latvia. It is the way how we can support the locals and facilitate the development of our country,” emphasised the Head of Marketing of SIA “Iepirkumu grupa” Ilze Priedīte.

During the period of national holidays the local “top!” store will provide a ribbon free of charge in the colours of the Latvian flag. The social network established in Latvia draugiem.lv, in turn, invites people to add ribbons to their profiles and indicate their places of residence. For the customers to better notice the local products and the most favourite products of the locals, three types of quality signs will be used to mark the products at the store chain and represent three product categories: “Local choice” – products chosen by the local customers to most; “Produced locally” – gastronomy products and pastry cooked at the local “top!” stores; “Local product” – products produced in Latvia.

During the national holiday, the campaign brochure of the store chain “top!” mainly included products with a mark “Local product” to support local producers during the celebration even more. From now on, the brochure of “top!” will include the most favourite recipes of the local cooks from the “top!” stores to inspire our customers to cook a tasty meal at home.

The store chain “top!” is the largest store chain owned by the Latvian businesspeople, as well as the third largest retail sales store chain in Latvia.
